Our Design Process
Preliminary Design
In the initial phase of every project, we focus on building a strong connection with our clients. We take the time to understand your daily life, preferences, and how you want your home, condo, or commercial space to operate. Combining this insight with a thorough analysis of the site and its natural surroundings establishes a solid foundation for a design that aligns with your vision.
Schematic Design
In this early phase of the process, we develop the preliminary concepts into more concrete representations. During this stage, we create floor plans that outline the overall design intent and spatial organization of your project. The focus is on establishing your project’s size, scale, relationships between spaces, and key design elements while still allowing for flexibility and changes. Schematic design serves as a critical bridge between conceptual ideas and detailed design development, helping clients visualize the project and providing a foundation for further refinement.
Design Development
In the design development phase, we take your project to the next level by refining the initial concepts with greater detail. We carefully evaluate materials, consider structural elements, and develop all aspects of the design to align with your vision for your home. This stage ensures that every detail contributes to the style and functionality you desire.
Construction Document
In this final phase, we produce a complete set of detailed drawings, encompassing floor plans, sections, and construction specifications, along with structural engineering details, for permit submission. We will also assist in coordinating the integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. These construction documents are essential for securing permits and ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
